Since embarking on his legal career, Wu Shengmin has consistently focused on areas such as the bankruptcy reorganization of listed companies, the debt restructuring of large corporate groups, bankruptcy liquidation, and dissolution liquidation. He has played a significant role in or led large-scale and complex debt restructuring projects involving major corporate groups and listed companies. Additionally, he has overseen numerous judicial reorganizations, bankruptcy liquidations, and compulsory liquidations for small and medium-sized enterprises. Wu Shengmin possesses extensive and practical experience in various debt restructuring matters across industries such as finance, real estate, pharmaceuticals, energy, shipping, logistics, and food.
As a core member of several project teams, Wu Shengmin has participated in handling reorganization cases for listed companies and large-scale group debt restructuring projects. Some of these cases have been recognized as "Top Ten Bankruptcy Typical Cases" by the Supreme People's Court, the Higher People's Court of Shandong Province, the Higher People's Court of Sichuan Province, and the Higher People's Court of Guangdong Province. Notably, these cases were also included in the 2022 annual work report of the Jiangsu Higher People's Court presented during the "Two Sessions."
Before joining Merits & Tree Law Firm, Wu Shengmin worked for many years in the Debt Restructuring Department of King & Wood Mallesons.
